A number of sites have recently had new developments that involve directly sending and receiving data files to and from a third party via SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol). SFTP is a means by which encrypted data can be sent and received between two remote systems via the internet by a secure SSH connection. The process is also secured by password and user id so that data is not able to be hacked or otherwise misused. Using SFTP can simplify many manualĀ processes and ensures that data is delivered in a timely and secure manner.
If you are currently manually sending or receiving files, such as order confirmations, EDI details, order delivery details or invoice details to trusted sites that allow SFTP, then contact Redgum to see whether this process can be automated to be more secure and efficient.
